Experimental & Non-Traditional Screen Print Techniques

This workshop is intended for printmaker/artists that have screen print experience and are interested in learning/experimenting with new techniques. Participants will learn and come up with techniques to produce non-traditional screenprint imagery.
The first day, we will discuss different processes, tools and substrates that can be used to achieve different effects. Each participant will plan their own mulit-color print by sketching out ideas, creating their own screens for print using tools/ materials available and coming up with their own non-traditional methods.
Participants will mix/proof ink colors and process their own screens for print. The second day, will be open studio and each participant will execute their print run continued from the first day. Everyone will work together to execute and collaborate on the print runs. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own tools, materials and share their knowledge.

Requirements: Intro to Screen Print and Intermediate Screen Print workshop, demonstrate a knowledge of traditional screen printing, or permission of the instructor.
