Encaustic Monoprinting with Jonathan Parks
Wednesday Evening Workshop
Class Dates: October 5, 12, & 19
Class Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Fee: $285 + tax
Instructor: Jonathan Parks
Beginners welcome! In this workshop, you'll learn how to design suitable imagery and print with pigmented molten beeswax. You'll improve your painting and printing skills, gaining further experience in non-traditional printing and painting techniques. We will also talk about tools, supplies, materials and safety that go along with encaustic in general. Participants will have the opportunity to create multiple prints.
Over the course of three weeks, participants will create 10 prints - paper provided (artists are encouraged to bring their favorite of various types of paper to test, but not required). Basic tools, paper and a minimum of encaustic paint to print, will be supplied. Participants are also welcome to bring their own tools (a list of examples will be provided before the class).
*PLEASE NOTE* In the unfortunate instance that the event must be canceled due to health concerns or change in covid-19 policies, a full refund will be issued and participants will be notified immediately. The course needs at least 2 to 3 participants to proceed, and the maximum will be 3 or 4 depending on the health and safety at the time.
In the event you cannot make the course, please contact us as soon as possible and we will issue you a refund and make your seat available. If it is within 48 hours of the course's first date, unfortunately your fee will be non-refundable. A minimum of 3 students for every course is required for the course to take place, if we don't reach this minimum you'll be issued a full refund.
