Textures, Layers and Transparencies: Collagraph and Monotype
The collagraph is a wonderfully affordable printmaking technique- all you need is mat board, textured items and glue to create fabulous textured prints. In this workshop participants will learn how to make collagraphs that can be printed immediately (no sealant, so no drying time!) and how to ink them using transparency and viscosity techniques. We will print our plates with dry paper on the press and add elements of monotype and stencils to create richly layered, textured, one-of-a-kind prints. We will work fairly small so much experimentation can occur! No experience necessary!
