- Gel Plate Printing for Beginners, with Terry Garrett
Gel Plate Printing for Beginners, with Terry Garrett
In this two-part demo, printmaker Terry Garrett demonstrates the basics of gel plate printing and explains how to push the medium further with techniques such as ghost prints, stencils, found object printing, and much more! Gel-plate printing is a versatile, non-toxic form of printmaking that can be done entirely at home, with materials widely available at craft stores. Terry's free-form, explorative teaching style encourages experimentation and play. The resulting prints are many-layered and complex, and can function as stand-alone monotypes, backgrounds for further experimentation, or source paper for collages.
